Experiments

Staying in the visual context of the everyday I started a second series of experiments. Detached from a specific topic or object trying to create humorous images. A tricky but enjoyable part was, that I often needed help. I spontaneously asked friends, fellow students, family and sometimes even strangers to get a photo. This limited the timeframe as well as the level of control I had in the moment. Depending on the situation I either asked the other person to be the protagonist in the picture or to take a photo of me. This meant I had to be well prepared and spontaneous, it took for example two rides to the supermarket and four different types of noodles, till I found one, that we could use for crochet. To create in this combination of planning and improvising was an interesting contrast. This combination of planning and improvisation was an interesting contrast that demands a lot of flexibility but fits perfectly with the overall context. And yes, some of the images overlap with the video clips and were created in parallel.
